Hello. I’m Zaf.
Artist, maker, and programmer. Living in Athens. Originally from Burnley - though I arrived there as a baby and spent my childhood dreaming and tinkering in the north of England. That curiosity never really left. It just found bigger playgrounds.
I make things that blur the line between art and technology. Live visuals for bands and clubs. Interactive installations that respond to people. Strange little machines that do unexpected things. Software that feels alive.
Along the way I studied Engineering & Computer Science at Oxford and Communication Design at Central Saint Martins - two very different worlds that somehow make perfect sense together.
Over the years I’ve written code for a London newsroom, built robots, exhibited at Maker Faire in New York and Rome, and performed live visuals. Right now I write software alongside physicists studying space weather. It’s a long way from a club in Shoreditch, but the curiosity is exactly the same.
In 2016 I was named one of Europe’s Top 50 Makers, which was a lovely surprise.
The possibilities feel endless - and I mean that.
I love collaborating with musicians, scientists, artists, engineers, and dreamers. If you’re working on something interesting and think we might make something good together, I’d really love to hear from you.
